The arrival of new streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video or Disney + allows access to original content more than interesting. High-level productions, image quality designed to be reproduced on a device and the episodes built to be able to make fun marathons they are already part of our day to day. But it is not only about new additions to the catalog, but also to review those productions that had their premiere years ago and that they were a real success. A great opportunity to review all that content.

In this sense, HBO Max will premiere a series that began broadcasting its last episodes in 2016 and since then we did not see more on the screen: Pretty Little Liars. Also known in Spanish as beautiful liars, this mystery-laden drama was launched through ABC Family 11 years ago and featured faces that are unmistakable today: Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Troian Bellisario, Shay Mitchel y Sasha Pieterse.

Based on the homonymous novel by Sara Shepard, Pretty Little Liars was developed by Marlene King and tells the story of five friends born in the fictional city of Rosewood who suffer the disappearance of one of them. But that’s not all: an anonymous person calling himself “A”Begins to threaten them through different messages and promises to expose the best kept secrets of adolescents.

This content is, without a doubt, a great bet from HBO Max that will allow you to new generations get closer to the series that broke audience records and that managed to broadcast up to seven seasons. All of them will be available from this month in the subscription service and a new season will soon be added as a spin-off.

On 2013, the television network aired 10 episodes of Ravenswood, a fiction that tried to take the original story as a starting point but was canceled as it did not meet expectations. Something similar happened in 2019: premiered on spin-off Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists and it didn’t work either. But since the third time is the charm, HBO Max is already preparing the premiere of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, which will feature 10 episodes and it will star Chandler Kinney y Maia Reficco.
