The Spanish Public Treasury opens this week the auctions of 2023

The Spanish Public Treasury opens this week the auctions of 2023, and will do so with two bids, one of six- and twelve-month bills, which will be held on Tuesday, and another of bonds and obligations of the State, on Thursday.

In the month of January, two more bids are planned, according to the official calendar established by the Treasury, which will be held on the 17th, of three- and nine-month bills, and on the 19th, of bonds and obligations.

However, in the month of January, the Treasury also usually holds the first syndicated issue of the year, the one in which banks place the debt directly among investors.

While waiting for the Public Treasury to communicate the Financing Strategy for 2023, the First Vice President of the Government and Minister of Economy and Digital Transformation, Nadia Calviño, already announced that for this year, a prudent estimate will be based again, with a net financing of 70,000 million euros.
