The Spanish Stock Exchange will open tomorrow, Day of the Immaculate

The four Spanish stock exchanges (Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao and Valencia) will open tomorrow, December 8, despite the celebration of the Day of the Immaculate, according to the calendar approved for 2022 by the Stock Exchange Society.

According to this calendar, the Spanish stock market and debt markets will only close three holidays this year, two days less than in 2021 and 2020.

They have already closed on Friday, April 15 (Good Friday) and Monday, April 18 (Easter Monday), and will not operate next Monday, December 26 (Christmas Day, December 25, which falls on Sunday) is moved.

By 2023, Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME):BME) has established five public holidays, which is two days more than this year.

Sessions have been considered non-working on Friday, April 7 (Good Friday); Monday, April 10 (Easter Monday); Monday, May 1, (Labor Day); Monday, December 25 (Christmas); and Tuesday, December 26.

In 2005, the Spanish Stock Exchange addressed a progressive reduction of its holidays to converge with the main European parquets, which had fewer non-working days than the national market.
