This is the Texas Chainsaw Massacre on Netflix
Thus, the franchise The Texas Chainsaw Massacre returns once again in the form of a direct sequel titled in the same way as the original, a true classic of the genre that was released in 1974 by Tobe Hooper. This time around, the 1986 sequel is ignored to offer a fresh take on the events of the first The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And it is that the action takes us several years after the story of the first film, with a Leatherface that try to reform acting as honestly as possible. Although he will soon regain his murderous instincts with the arrival of a group of people in his village …
The project is based on the idea of Fede Alvarez Y Rodolfo Sayagues, authors of the franchise Don’t breathe and producers of this new Leather Face adventure, with a script signed by Chris Thomas Devlin and a staging by David Blue Garcia.
On the other hand, the cast is headed by Nell Hudson (Outlander), Elsie Fisher (Eighth Grade), Mark Burnham as Leatherface and Olwen Fouéré in the role of the sadly late Marilyn Burns as Sally Hardesty. The other main performers are Alice Krige, Jacob Latimore, Jessica Allain, Moe Dunford, Sarah Yarkin, Sam Douglas, William Hope, and Jolyon Coy.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on February 18, 2022.
