The forthcoming coronation of Carlos III in London is set to be a historical event, but it’s not just the coronation itself that will be memorable. The Coronation Concert, set to take place on the following day, is expected to be a spectacle with the who’s who of British and international celebrities in attendance. The BBC is broadcasting the event, featuring pre-recorded appearances by famous faces such as Tom Cruise, Joan Collins, and Winnie The Pooh.
Among this star-studded cast will be Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, who has expressed his admiration for the English monarchy. He will be joined by other celebrities such as Tom Jones, Bear Grylls, and Oti Mabuse. Additionally, pianist Lang Lang, Nicole Scherzinger, and more will take to the stage.
The concert, hosted by Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville, is expected to attract over 20,000 people near Windsor Castle. The BBC is looking forward to millions of viewers tuning in to watch this incredible event.
Kate Perry will also perform at the Coronation Concert. As an ambassador for The British Asian Trust, a charity co-founded by Carlos III, she has known the new monarch for a long time. Other artists who will perform at the concert include Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, and Take That.
Carlos III’s coronation will also feature representatives of different religions, granting them key roles in the ceremony. Princess Anne will play an important role, and she is rewarded for her loyalty to the new monarch.
The tunic that Queen Camilla will wear at the coronation pays tribute to Elizabeth II, and Spanish royals Felipe and Letizia will attend the event. All in all, it’s shaping up to be a grand event – one that will no doubt be remembered for years to come.
