These are the movies that could help you understand the spiderverse of “Spiderman: no way home”

Based on the comics created by the great Stan Lee, Marvel knew how to maintain itself throughout the years marking different generations. And, soon he will do it again with the premiere of Spiderman: no way home. On December 17, theaters will be filled with fans of the franchise to witness the latest adventures of Tom Holland in the skin of Peter Parker.

Is that, for months, Spiderman: no way home it became one of the most anticipated films of phase four of the MCU. This is because, as it transpired, it would be the first time that a spiderverse has taken place. That is, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, Tom Holland’s predecessors in this character, could appear in the film.

Although more than once the protagonists of these rumors denied this claim, there are many theories that show that it will indeed happen. And, after the trailer of Spiderman: no way home released last Monday, all these thoughts increased. Beyond the fact that none of the previous Spider-Man appeared in the trailer, some clues did.

It is the first live-action of this character. It was released in 2002 and stars Tobey Maguire. In the feature film, Peter Parker is a young student who is fond of photography who is bitten by a spider during an excursion with his school, which passes his powers to him.

After that event, Parker realizes the incredible strength he possesses and becomes a hero. But, throughout the film, not only does he have to protect his Aunt May and his beloved Mary Jane (Kristen Dunst), but he also has to fight with his boss, Jonah Jameson and The Green Goblin.

2. Spider-Man 2: (disponible en Netflix)

This was the second time Maguire wore the red suit. On this occasion, the actor faces villains such as Alfred Molina’s Dr. Octopus, already confirmed for Spiderman: no way home, and must also deal with the resentment of the Green Goblin’s son and his best friend, Harry Osborn.

3. Spider-Man 3: (disponible en HBO Max)

It was the third and last time Tobey Maguire was part of Marvel. For this film, his Peter Parker faced changes in his personality that affected him in his relationship with Mary Jane. Of course, he could not escape the fight with villains like Green Goblin (son), the Sandman and Venom.

4. The Amazing Spider-Man: (disponible en HBO Max)

For this film, instead of continuing with the story that marked Maguire, the MCU decided to restart the saga. That is why, in 2012, this film was released with Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey.

Although, for this feature film, the youngest superhero in the franchise must face a new villain: the Lizard. And, according to the trailer for Spiderman: no way home, this villain will make his triumphal return on December 17.

It is the return of the Garfield-Stone duo. This time, Peter had to face the evil Electro, a scientist who becomes a villain after suffering a strong electric shock. But, the ratings for this sequel were so bad that it was the last time Andrew went through the franchise.

After an arduous dispute between Sony and Marvel, Peter Parker returned to the big screen in the hands of Tom Holland. After his appearances in AvengersNow this hero faced his first protagonist who, sponsored by Iron Man, was in charge of defeating El Buitre.

7. Spider-Man: far from home (disponible en Amazon Prime Video)

It is the latest installment of Tom Holland and the one that left the stage open for what will come in December. In this feature film, Peter is on a trip to Europe with his high school classmates, but must face an evil that affects the world: Mysterio. Although his desire to be the hero brought him serious problems: his identity was revealed.
