The ‘youtuber’ Yoseline Hoffman, known as ‘YosStop’, was arrested on Tuesday night at her home by agents of the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City for crimes related to child pornography.

The complaint was motivated because the arrested, 30-year-old, recognized in one of her videos on the social network that she had received, played and stored a recording of a gang rape to a minor, and even showed the screen of his phone with the video of the sexual assault to his subscribers.

The complainant is Ainara Suárez, a young woman who in 2018, when she was 16 years old, was raped by four young people while they were recording the attack. ‘YosStop’ received the images and echoed them on its channel, where it uttered serious insults against the minor raped. He called her a “whore” for having consented to the attack and accused her of wanting to attract attention. The video has already been removed from the platform.

‘YosStop’ has almost 7 million followers on Instagram and more than 8 million subscribers on YouTube, so its videos reach a large audience.

The arrest of the ‘influencer’ has occurred months after Suárez filed a complaint against the four attackers, as well as against a friend to whom the video was sent and against Yoseline Hoffman.

The video of his arrest circulates on social networks, which occurred without resisting. Hoffman was transferred to the Santa Martha Acatitla women’s penitentiary, south of Mexico City, and is pending judicial disposition.

Three years after the rape, the law firm Schütte & Delsol Gojon Abogados, which handles Suárez’s case for free, celebrated the arrest of ‘YosStop’, who now faces charges that carry a prison sentence of between seven and 14 years.
