Early life 

Robb was raised in Tucson, Arizona, after being born into a Baptist family in Detroit, Michigan.

Gerald L. K. Smith, Kenneth Goff, Conde McGinley, and Joseph McCarthy were political figures with whom Robb’s parents occasionally agreed. Robb asserts that reading Conde McGinley’s anti-Communist and antisemitic newspaper Common Sense, which openly advocated Holocaust denial, at the age of 13 awakened him to the “Myth of the Holocaust.” He actively participated in the John Birch Society while still a high school student and was a vocal proponent of segregationist principles.   

Life so far 

After graduating from high school, he was given the scholarship to attend the Soldiers of the Cross Training Institute in Evergreen, Colorado. Dr. Kenneth Goff started the school. Robb participated in the institution, where he studied theology for his undergraduate and doctoral degrees while receiving private instruction from Bellflower, California, physician Roy Gillaspie. He first met Ralph Forbes, an associate and west coast organizer for George Lincoln Rockwell’s National Socialist White People’s Party, in Bellflower. Upon his return to Tucson, he started The Message of Old Monthly, which he ultimately renamed The Torch. 

Robb moved to Boone County, Arkansas, in 1971. According to what he has said, the transfer was made so that he could establish his ministry from a strategic location in the American heartland. As a result of growing concern about illegal immigration “invading” America, Robb also indicated that he intended to move away from Tucson and raise his children in a rural area.

In Pulaski, Tennessee, the Ku Klux Klan’s birthplace, Robb led a demonstration in 1986 against the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The festival, which still takes place in Pulaski every October, was eventually given the name White Christian Heritage Festival. Robb has established a close connection with other extremists over the years.  

Robb argues that the Klan is benign because it is “gentle, cheery, and pleasant.” Robb said that “it’s just tradition” when he was featured in the PBS program Banished and equated a Klan hood to a man’s tie. Robb is a pastor who rejects evolution as “an attack upon our faith” and holds to creationism, or “what others refer to as intelligent design.” He oversees the Christian Revival Center as its pastor.

His granddaughter Charity and Shelby Pendergraft and his daughter Rachel Pendergraft, who recently founded the “white nationalist” band Heritage Connection, have drawn recent attention to their family.
