Heather Locklear’s Health Concern: Erratic Behavior Raises Alarms
Heather Locklear, known for her role in the popular TV series Melrose Place, is once again causing concern over her health. The 61-year-old actress was recently spotted exhibiting erratic behavior in Malibu, California. Locklear, who has publicly battled addiction, was photographed struggling to maintain her balance as she walked on the ledge of an office building. She relied on cement pillars for support and was wearing flip flops.
According to friends of Locklear, it appears that she may have started drinking again, despite multiple stints in rehabilitation. On the day of the alarming incident, Locklear’s boyfriend, former motocross athlete Chris Heisser, took her to a meeting at the building. The meeting lasted an hour, and afterwards, Locklear walked along the building’s cornice and crossed the street hurriedly, leaving Heisser waiting in the car.
Locklear, wearing military camouflage pants and a tank top, then sat down on a staircase, read from a notebook, and began talking to herself with a distressed look on her face. A video captured Locklear appearing confused as she read what seemed to be a personal diary. She gestured angrily at something written in the notebook, only to put it back in her bag moments later.
As Locklear walked along the building walls, she appeared nervous and clung onto the columns to avoid falling into the parking lot below. Over an hour later, she finally ran back to Heisser, who had patiently waited in the car, and the couple drove off together. Locklear and Heisser have been in a committed relationship since she checked into a rehab facility in 2018. They have known each other since childhood and rekindled their relationship in 2017.
History of Struggles and Hospitalizations
Locklear’s battles with addiction and mental health issues have been widely documented. In 2008, she was hospitalized for the first time to receive treatment for her addictions. In 2010, a judge ordered her to return to rehab after she caused a traffic accident. Locklear has also faced legal troubles, including charges of driving under the influence and drug possession.
In 2011, she was accused of domestic violence, and the police were called to her home for a dispute with her then-boyfriend, Jack Wagner. Locklear was hospitalized in 2012 for a drug and alcohol poisoning incident, and in 2018, she was arrested for assaulting a police officer and a doctor after making suicide threats. The court mandated her entry into a rehabilitation center for more than 30 days, with her daughter Ava providing crucial support throughout her treatment.
Locklear’s struggles have undoubtedly taken a toll on her and those close to her. Nevertheless, she continues to receive support from her loved ones. Despite the hardships, Locklear’s daughter Ava, with whom she shares a close bond, remains a pillar of strength. Richie Sambora, Ava’s father and Locklear’s ex-husband, also plays a supportive role in her life during these challenging times.
