US Companies Seek Mexican Engineers for Control and Automation

US companies are always on the lookout for foreign talent, and Mexicans seeking employment opportunities can take advantage of this trend through the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare’s Employment Portal. The portal has published a number of vacancies for Mexican engineers, particularly those specializing in control and automation. Companies seeking Mexican engineers are looking for people with extensive knowledge of CAD software, PLC programming, and electrical controls, as well as mathematically and logically-oriented problem solvers who can evaluate and implement continuous improvement projects.

Salary and Benefits

The salary offered by the company is 77,000 pesos per month, along with dental care and medical insurance, life insurance, a savings fund, and other benefits. The contract is for a fixed period of time, with work hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with options for evening and night shifts.

Qualifications

Mexican engineers or technicians in control and automation with 2 – 3 years of experience are required to design and troubleshoot electrical controls, do PLC programming, create backup copies of robot programs or parameters, and coordinate with suppliers, among other tasks. Applicants must have a degree in engineering or technical training in automation, English language proficiency, and familiarity with Microsoft Office and CAD software, as well as occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
