Russia is open to diplomacy, but Washington’s encouragement of Ukraine’s “bellicose mood” complicates diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
“We repeat it once again, especially for the US side: the tasks that we set for ourselves in Ukraine will be solved,” Zakharova wrote on the ministry’s website.
“Russia is open to diplomacy and the conditions are well known. The longer Washington encourages kyiv’s warlike mood and encourages, rather than hinders, the terrorist enterprises of Ukrainian saboteurs, the more difficult it will be to find diplomatic solutions,” he added.
