The Canary Islands Volcanological Institute (INVOLCAN) has shared via Twitter a recording of the consequences of the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano, on the Spanish island of La Palma.
The graphic material shows how a house in the town of Todoque has remained standing, despite being completely surrounded by lava flows.
The house contrasts with the desolate landscape as the wash continues to advance towards the coast and swallowed everything in its path.
