Viral Video: Heroic Rescue of Dog Trapped in Frozen Pool Water

Pound Buddies is an animal shelter situated in Michigan, United States that has recently gone viral for spreading an impactful video showing the exact moment a dog was rescued from a frozen pool of water. The shelter received frantic calls regarding a dog that was trapped in melting ice, several feet deep in an old filter pond.

The concrete pond was partially filled with water from about another 8 to 12 feet deep, with a thin layer of ice floating on top. Fortunately, Muskegon Heights firefighters came to help the dog, and one of them gained its trust by giving it food.

The firefighter then carefully loaded the dog and carried it to safety. Pound Buddies expressed their gratitude and emphasized how thankful they were for the firefighters and the Muskegon Heights Fire Department.
