This week’s selection of Nueva Música Latina
This week, our selection of Nueva Música Latina — a weekly compilation of the best songs, albums and videos recommended by the editors of Billboard Latin and Billboard Español — includes new music from Gloria Trevi, David Bisbal, Boza and many more.
Boza experiments with new sounds on “Sin Sol”
Rooted in the plena reggae sound for which he first became known, Panamanian singer Boza experiments on his new 13-song album Sin Sol, which includes collaborations with Dalex, Beéle and Kenia Os. It includes smooth hip hop rhythms on the opening track “Talismán”, sultry Afrobeats on “Sin Waze”, and hard-hitting reggaetón on “Booty Puty”, to name a few.
David Bisbal’s surprising new single “Ay, Ay , Ay”
David Bisbal also tries new rhythms on his new single “Ay, Ay , Ay”, a surprising bachata with a touch of flamenco and more unpredictable elements, but maintaining her characteristic energetic and soulful vocal performance throughout the song.
Gloria Trevi’s techno dance track “Medusa”
Gloria Trevi is also not far behind with “Medusa”, a techno dance track in the one who makes his radical artistic proposal his own, embodying a mythical figure and singing to rattlesnakes and poison in his first release with his own independent label. “This new stage is very exciting for me,” Trevi said exclusively to Billboard Español. “With our label I will be able to have more investment, open new markets and work with dream collaborations. I love being the head of my label now.”
Other new music releases this week
Other artists dropping new music this week include Don Omar, Grupo Firme, Caloncho, and more.
