A bright sun and a clear blue sky make photographers yawning boredom. Because for exciting weather photos you need dramatic clouds or fog over the landscape. This week’s pictures show a wide variety of weather moods, from the warm-toned sunrise over the low mountain range by Andrea Wengel to the foggy twilight by Joachim Kiner. Its picture shows little more than a brightness gradient in black and white – and it still sends a clear message. A night shot of m5 and small mountain huts in gentle snowfall by Uschi Hermann also enrich the portfolio. This week, in keeping with the weather of the last few days, dull autumn and winter moods dominate, many of them in black and white.

In our gallery you can enjoy an overview of this week’s pictures again.

Picture on Saturday: Change of weather by Andrea Wengel
The photographer Andrea Wengel loves atmospheric photos. The photographer feels at home in Germany and Switzerland in particular and portrays her homeland. On this cloud-covered autumn evening the sky over the Black Forest tore open again. The sun showed itself in bright colors before plunging back into the fog on the horizon.
