If you are out of cows, on a few days off or you just don’t want to be bothered, you can program an automatic response within WhatsApp so that it is sent as soon as someone sends you a message and thus not bother you.

You can set absent messages to be sent automatically to all your contacts or to some in particular. In addition, you can schedule your absence messages to be sent automatically at certain times, such as during company closing hours.

To set absent messages, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the icon more options (the 3 points vertically)> Business tools > Absent message.
  2. Active Send absent message.
  3. Touch the message to edit it> OK.
  4. On Schedule, tap and choose from these options:
    • Always send, to send the automatic message at all times.
    • Custom schedule, to send the automated message only during specific times.
    • Outside business hours, to send the automated message only outside business hours. This option is only available if you have established business hours in your company profile.
  5. Under Recipients, select one of these options:
    • Everybody, to send the automated message to everyone who writes to you after business hours.
    • Those who are not in the contact book, to send the automatic message to the numbers that you do not have saved in the contact book.
    • All except …, to send the automatic message to all numbers except some selected ones.
    • Just send to …, to send the automatic message to specific recipients.
  6. Touch Keep. Away messages are only sent when the phone has an active internet connection.
