Falling for a Murderer, a new Amazon Prime docuseries, examines a number of women who knew iconic serial killer Ted Bundy, either because they had a personal relationship with him, like ex-girlfriend Liz Kendall, or because they survived one of his savage attacks, like Karen Sparks. Rosa Bundy, Ted Bundy’s daughter, was the only woman not interviewed in the female-directed documentary. Rosa’s face is blocked out in every picture, even though old family photos of her, Bundy, and her mother/wife, Bundy’s Carole Ann Boone, are shown in the five-part true-crime documentary.

Throughout Bundy’s trial and even when he was on execution row, Boone was confident of his innocence. According to Ann Rule, a writer who knew Bundy, in her biography of him, The Stranger Beside Me, the couple dated before his original arrest and married in a courtroom in 1980 (after he proposed to her in the middle of his highly famous trial). Much of their connection took place while Bundy was on death row, including Rosa’s pregnancy. We’re still unsure how Boone became pregnant while visiting Bundy in prison, but it did. We’d like to provide a few details about Rose, despite the fact that she has stayed quite quiet.
Who is Ted Bundy’s daughter?
Rose Bundy, often known as Rosa, is the only child of Ted Bundy, the infamous serial killer. She is 38 years old, having been born in early October 1982. Carole Ann Boone met Bundy while working for the Washington State Department of Emergency Services (DES) in Olympia. They later married during Bundy’s trial, after Bundy took advantage of an obscure Florida rule that said that a marriage statement in court in front of a judge was sufficient to form a legal marriage.
Inmates on death row were not allowed to have conjugal visits, but according to a former acquaintance, Ann Rule’s biography of Bundy, The Stranger Beside Me, published in 1980, inmates was known to pool money to pay guards to enable them alone time with their female guests. Other rumors about Rose’s conception included Boone kissing Bundy and then filling and returning an empty condom in the same manner. When asked how her child was conceived, Boone told the News in September 1981, “It’s nobody’s business.”
Still, the media claimed that Boone may have given Bundy “an empty condom via a kiss, which he subsequently filled and returned in the same manner.” Bundy and Boone, on the other hand, would not have had to resort to such extreme tactics, according to Ann Rule. Instead, convicts would pay jail guards so that couples could have intercourse in different parts of the institution, which is presumably what Bundy and Boone did.
Rosa was obviously born when Bundy was still incarcerated. According to Rolling Stone, Boone believed Bundy was innocent and may have even assisted him in escaping his Colorado prison and fleeing to Florida in 1977. Boone also had a teenage boy named James from a previous marriage, thus Rose wasn’t her first child. Rosa wasn’t Bundy’s first child, despite the fact that she was his first biological child. Bundy’s ex-girlfriend Elizabeth Kendall (a.k.a. Liz Kendall) had a daughter Molly from a previous marriage, and he previously served as a father figure to her.
Rosa Bundy’s background

There isn’t much. She’s led a relatively low-profile existence (to be honest), and nothing is known about her. Rosa, for example, has been described as “gentle and clever” by Rule. In reality, Rule’s full quote, which can be found on her website, explains why she knows so much about Bundy yet so little about his family: “I’ve purposefully kept quiet about Ted’s ex-wife and daughter’s whereabouts because they are entitled to privacy. I don’t want to know where they are, and I certainly don’t want to be caught off guard by a reporter’s inquiry. All I know is that Ted’s daughter has matured into a lovely young lady.”
What do we know about Rose Bundy’s mother and who is Ted Bundy’s wife Carole Ann Boone?
There is very little known about Boone’s birth and upbringing. Boone was described as a “lusty-tempered free spirit” who was intelligent, humorous, and capable at her profession. Some of her coworkers referred to her as a sister or mother figure. Boone was just divorced and raising her adolescent son James when she met Ted Bundy. Bundy had started working for the Washington State Department of Emergency Services (DES) and had attracted the attention of both men and women.
Boone was instantly smitten, later revealing that Bundy had voiced his wish to date her from the start. “I liked Ted immediately,” Boone claimed in the book The Only Living Witness: The True Story of Serial Sex Killer Ted Bundy. “We got along swimmingly.” He struck me as a shy individual with a lot more going on beneath the surface than what was visible. He was clearly more dignified and reserved than the office’s more certifiable types.” Bundy continued to date his current lover, Elizabeth Kloepfer, as well as a number of other women, many of whom were slain. Bundy and Boone got quite close during Bundy’s trial in Florida in 1979.
Boone and her son relocated to Florida to be closer to Bundy after exchanging several letters. Despite the fact that Boone and Bundy expressed an interest in marrying, the authorities made it clear that this was not possible. Ted Bundy, on the other hand, came across an obscure law in the Florida legal books.
Where is Rosa Bundy now?
Boone and Bundy separated in 1986, and she and Rosa moved to Washington. Bundy’s death row confessions to his murders are alleged to have upset Boone to the point where she declined a farewell phone call from him. Bundy was executed on January 24, 1989, three years after their divorce. Rose is now 37 and has remained out of the spotlight, according to E! It’s possible that 6-year-old Rose was never allowed to speak to her father before his death, according to the Sun. It’s also possible that Boone has changed her and Rose’s names since then.
