The Oscars gala was marred by Will Smith’s assault on Chris Rock. The actor couldn’t stand one of the presenter’s jokes and decided to slap him when he made a joke about his wife’s appearance.
Then he returned to the stage, already collecting the Oscar for best leading actor for the film ‘The Williams Method’. Then, during his speech, Will Smith apologized in his speech, although he did not mention the assaulted Rock.
Chris Rock’s joke went straight to Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith’s wife. The two married in 1997 and had two children: Jaden Christopher Syre Smith (1998) and daughter Willow Reign Smith (2000).
Jada is also an actress and is known for being the voice of Gloria, the character of ‘Madagascar’, and also for the role of Niobe in ‘The Matrix Reloaded’, The Matrix Revolutions’ and The Matrix Resurrections’.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett have maintained an open marriage. The two acknowledged infidelities for the past 25 years. In fact, Jada has been linked to Chris Rock himself, since both shared filming in the children’s film ‘Madagascar’.
In spite of everything, the Smith couple has improved their relationship and at the moment it remains in one of the most balanced stages. Smith said in his oscar speech that he was going to “protect” his family, as well as that “love, leads you to do crazy things.”
