Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe closed with “Avengers: Endgame.” Some Avengers officially left the team after retiring or dying on the mission against Thanos. Now is the time to introduce new characters and villains to start another phase.
“Black Widow” will be the first film in phase 4 and will focus on closing the story of the Black Widow, presenting details of the past. On the other hand, Marvel Studios will also release the film “Eternals” in 2021.
This other movie will hit theaters in November of this year. It will introduce powerful characters calling Eternals, who were present since the beginning of humanity.
The big question is who will be the next big villain in the MCU. Thanos is a thing of the past, now they would introduce themselves to a new character that puts the Eternals themselves in trouble.
Theories indicate that we will see the Deviants or Changing People, a variant of the evolution of intelligent life on Earth. These characters would have been created by the Celestials and served as food.
Marvel: reasons Fantastic Four is the last Phase 4 movie
Marvel’s Phase 4 is in full swing, so many are curious to know when we will see the Fantastic Four on the big screen. There is nothing precise about the cast and or the release date, but there are reasons to think that the new film will reach the end of Phase 4 of the MCU.
X-Men and the Fantastic Fours have returned to Marvel’s ownership after Disney’s acquisition of 21th Century Fox. It’s already confirmed that Marvel Studios has the Fantastic Four in its sights, but how soon will we see the movie?
Marvel’s official trailer for the upcoming Phase 4 tapes shows the Fantastic Four at the end, so this will probably be the case in the order of releases for 2021 and 2022.
It must also be taken into account that Phase 4 is significantly different from the previous three, Fantastic Four will probably be the movie that connects with future Phase 5 productions. The key difference between the previous three Phases and the current one is that each volume was being built based on the Avengers. Phase 4, on the other hand, explores new characters and nothing would be better than closing with a classic from the comics.
While the MCU’s Avengers 5 doesn’t seem to be on the table for the foreseeable future, Fantastic Four is the perfect ensemble movie to close out Phase 4. In the meantime, we’ll have to wait for confirmations from Marvel.
