Starfield to launch exclusively for consoles Xbox Series and PC. The statement, which does not offer anything that we did not know, is once again in the news due to the insistence of certain users of the community when trying to evidence a possible temporary exclusivity condition with what’s new from Bethesda; but it won’t be like that. Aaron Greenberg, head of marketing for Xbox, has indicated on his personal Twitter account that Starfield will only appear on the indicated platforms and will not see the light on other consoles in the future.
Starfield will not be released on PlayStation or Nintendo as time goes by
“I’ve tried to be as clear as possible, it’s not a temporary exclusive“He begins by saying to a user, who asked at dawn on Tuesday if this” exclusive launch “could translate into a future launch on other systems.
“It’s simply where the game is being made,” he continues, referring to his initial message, in which he cites Xbox Series X | S and PC plus Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft’s on-demand video game service, which will feature Starfield from the first day in console and computer modes. There’s no more.
Although recent statements by Pete Hines, Bethesda’s global vice president of marketing and communications, seem to leave the doors open to an eventual launch in direct competition, PlayStation, by not giving a resounding no to that possibility, Greenberg de facto closes that hint of doubt.
Starfield already has a release date: November 11, 2022
Starfield was one of the big names at the Xbox conference at E3 2021. Its announcement came much earlier, alongside that of The Elder Scrolls VI, but the first to arrive will be this futuristic RPG with high doses of action that have defined as a Skyrim in space. The game will have factions and a structure similar to that of The Elder Scrolls title; an experience that will offer hundreds of hours and that will be “more hardcore” than other Bethesda games, now in the portfolio of Xbox Game Studios.
Starfield will go on sale next November 11, 2022 exclusively for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Windows 10 PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming for Android devices. Included from day one on Xbox Game Pass.
