In a recent interview with The Telegraph, the Army of The Dead director has revealed that he would like to explore other rather eye-catching genres, and if he does what he has in mind, his next film is going to be a buzzword.

Zack Snyder confessed that because of his interest in bodybuilding and the human body he not only wants to make a porn movie, but also, on the other side of the spectrum, he would like to make a religious tape.
“I’ve always wanted to do a religious movie and a pornographic movie, and I’ve never had the opportunity to do either,” Snyder noted. “Maybe if I could combine the two … Or maybe 300 is that movie, in a sense, a little bit. Or at least a primer on what that movie could be ”.
In the interview, Snyder recalls how he fell in love with the Renaissance and with artists such as Caravaggio and Michelangelo while studying at the Heatherley School of Fine Art in London. “That kind of appreciation of the human form is something that moved me,” he says. And perhaps it has influenced his work more than he thinks. 300, the film that made him famous, has a strong physical element. Something that many saw close to pornography.
“When 300 came out, people said it was too lenient physically, that on some level it was like porn. From a philosophical point of view, I think I love that indulgence ”, revealed the filmmaker.
We do not know if he will finally dare to make a religious film, a pornographic film or put them together in the same story, but the filmmaker never ceases to amaze us.
