No doubt Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead has conquered the director’s fans who have a Netflix subscription. There are not a few theories that have emerged as a result of the film, so it was not surprising that it did not take too long for a sequel, prequel, spin-off to arrive … And it has: Army of Thieves, a spin-off of the original film is already in development and Zack Snyder has shown the first images.
Zack Snyder is producing and co-writing the script with Shay Hatten. It was the director himself who posted the first images of the film on Twitter. As for the cast, we will have Matthias Schweighöfer, Nathalie Emmanuel, Ruby O. Fee, Stuart Martin, Guz Khan, Jonathan Cohen y Noémie Nakai.

Army of thieves is centered on the character Ludwig Dieter, one of the members of the group who has to recover a great loot in a city full of zombies. This time, we will see it a little before the events of Las Vegas, so do not expect to see zombies or anything like that. Zack Snyder may want turn this series into a franchise. In any case, Army of Thieves will have a more Ocean’s Eleven or The Italian Job vibe.
In addition, we remind you that they are not the only projects that Zack Snyder has with Netflix: A 6-episode anime miniseries called Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas is on the way, which would show the survivors’ adventures during the initial chaos, and Rebel Moon, a science fiction film, which was originally rejected by LucasFilm and was to be part of the Star Wars franchise.
