13 Rappers Share Opinions on Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s Beef

In the five months since the feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake began, it remains a heated topic in hip-hop, particularly among other rappers.

The series of diss tracks from these two prominent MCs abruptly ended on May 5 after one of the most unforgettable weekends in hip-hop history. Over a span of three days, six diss tracks were released, starting with Kendrick’s “6:16 in LA” and concluding with Drake’s “The Heart Part 6.” Although the releases stopped, conversations in the hip-hop community about the feud between Drizzy and K-Dot continue to dominate discussions.

Many rappers, including Ab-Soul and LL Cool J, have chosen sides, openly declaring Kendrick Lamar as the winner of the battle. On the other hand, Drake also enjoys considerable support from his peers. Rappers who have remained neutral generally talk about the overall impact the feud has had on hip-hop culture and its potential benefits for the genre.

Interestingly, despite the intense exchange, Kendrick has remained silent publicly. However, his actions speak volumes. On June 19, just as the conversation was beginning to mellow, K-Dot delivered an electrifying performance at The Pop Out – Ken & Friends concert in Los Angeles. The show was a tribute to West Coast hip-hop, featuring diss tracks aimed at Drake like “Euphoria,” “6:16 in LA,” and the chart-topping “Not Like Us.”

The concert reignited opinions and discussions among rappers from all corners of the genre. Earlier this month, Kendrick released the music video for “Not Like Us,” filled with anti-Drake innuendos, adding more fuel to the fire.

Meanwhile, Drake appears to be distancing himself from the confrontation. After engaging in lyrical battles during the spring, Drizzy is now embracing the summer. With collaborations with pop singer Camila Cabello, appearances at Michael Rubin’s elite all-white party, and releasing 100 gigs of music and never-before-seen videos, Drake seems to have moved past the beef with Kendrick Lamar.

However, many other rappers continue to discuss the feud fervently. Notable voices include Sexyy Red, Roddy Ricch, and Childish Gambino, among others, who have shared their opinions on the ongoing battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
