2024 Best Cost and Dates for New Hampshire and California Shows

Nearly 60 years after “Brown Eyed Girl” was released, Van Morrison remains at the top of his game. This enduring popularity explains why tickets for his limited shows are in such high demand.

The knighted Northern Irishman is heading to New Hampshire and California this October for a few select performances in the US, part of the “An Evening with Van Morrison” series. Though he has spent much of his career in the States, live performances are rare as Morrison doesn’t tour much anymore. However, he is clearly open to performing the occasional free-standing show.

With a career spanning decades, Morrison’s music appeals to a wide audience, blending soul, blues, jazz, and Celtic influences.

The Belfast Cowboy won’t be staying long, with just two shows in Portsmouth and four across California. This is a unique chance to see him live this fall.

Tickets for the Portsmouth shows officially go on sale Monday, Aug. 26, but passes from presale events are available on StubHub now. Tickets for the California concerts are already available.

Saying Morrison is a popular performer is an understatement. The cheapest ticket for “An Evening with Van Morrison” at Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club in Portsmouth is $500.

On the West Coast, tickets can be found for as little as $120, depending on the city.

Morrison’s US tour dates are as follows:

Oct. 12 Portsmouth, NH Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club
Oct. 13 Portsmouth, NH Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club
Oct. 19 Los Angeles, CA Orpheum Theatre
Oct. 20 Los Angeles, CA Orpheum Theatre
Oct. 22 Palo Alto, CA Frost Amphitheatre
Oct. 26 Santa Rosa, CA Luther Burbank Center

In addition to his live performances, Morrison’s latest album, New Arrangements and Duets, is set to be released this September. The album features 15 new tracks, including collaborations with several special guests.

The tracklist for New Arrangements and Duets includes:
