50 Cent Claims $24 Million Spent on Legal Fees Throughout Career

50 Cent has encountered numerous lawsuits throughout his career, driving his legal expenses sky-high. In a recent appearance on Million Dollaz Worth of Game on Sunday (Sept. 1), the G-Unit mogul disclosed that he has spent an astonishing $24 million on legal fees over the years, according to his estimations.

“I’ve spent $24 million in my career, so far. I can’t wait till I get rich,” he joked. “Just on lawyers. I’ve spent $24 million in my career on legal fees.”

The TV and film tycoon explained that when situations frustrate him, he retaliates with lawsuits, sometimes purely for “recreational purposes.” “When they agitate me, I’ll send the f–king lawyers,” he said.

50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson, revealed that he keeps general counsel at hand but opts out of having a manager who would take a cut from his earnings. Having been in the music industry for a long time, he feels confident in handling his own business deals.

“I have general counsel. I don’t have a manager,” he stated. “Why do I need you to manage me for? I’ve done every deal a 100 f–king times that I would be doing for me as a music artist. Why do I need you to do that for? They all want to work at a percentage and you want a percentage of me? You didn’t build this — I built it.”

He further mentioned that he has created management companies to guide artists in navigating the industry with trustworthy individuals.

“I’ll even develop management companies to help the artist out,” 50 added. “I’ll say eat what you kill. You know who they put as a manager? Someone they trust. Someone who’s not gonna steal the f–king money from you.”

Even after more than twenty years in the industry, 50 Cent continues to be embroiled in legal battles. In January 2023, he was sued in civil court over a summer 2023 incident where he was accused of flinging a microphone off stage, allegedly causing “severe and permanent injuries” to an L.A. radio host.

In May, he filed a defamation lawsuit against his ex, Daphne Joy, for her public accusations of physical abuse. 50 Cent denied these allegations, calling them “unequivocally false” and described them as a “calculated attack” aimed at destroying his reputation.
