’80s Film Star Stuns Since Her Role in ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’

It has been 40 years since ’80s film star Amanda Wyss played the unforgettable character Tina Gray in A Nightmare on Elm Street, the first victim of Robert Englund’s Freddy Krueger. Amanda recently reunited with her co-stars to celebrate the movie’s anniversary, and she looked stunning during the occasion.

Amanda posed with Robert, Lin Shaye, Jsu Garcia, and Heather Langenkamp to mark the four decades since they were on set together. She shared the moment on Instagram, looking youthful in a pair of jeans and a top that highlighted her toned, slim figure.

Amanda admitted to the Exit 6 Film Festival that she has only watched A Nightmare On Elm Street once or twice because she hardly enjoys seeing herself in it. Despite this, she expressed her gratitude for the movie’s success and its Academy Award nominations, feeling lucky to have been a part of it.

Before her role as Tina, Amanda captured the hearts of movie lovers in 1982’s Fast Times at Ridgemont High, acting alongside stars like Nicolas Cage, Forest Whittaker, and Sean Penn. After Elm Street, she continued her career with roles in productions such as Cheers, CSI, and Charmed.

Interestingly, Amanda originally auditioned for the role of Nancy Thompson but ended up playing the supporting role of Tina, with Heather Langenkamp taking the lead as Nancy. Amanda has no regrets about the part she landed, as it significantly elevated her status in Hollywood.
