Hosted by Franklin and Kevin Jonas, whose own claim to fame includes their brothers Joe and Nick Jonas, Claim to Fame is the ultimate summer guessing game. A group of celebrity relatives lives together in a lavish mansion, trying to figure out each other’s connections through various challenges and clues. Now in its third season, the competition is tougher than ever, but the increasing difficulty only adds to the excitement!

Claim to Fame airs Wednesdays at 9:00 pm EST on ABC. New episodes are broadcast weekly at the same time. Season 3 episodes will be available to stream on Hulu the day after airing. Hulu subscriptions start at $7.99 per month, with an ad-free option at $17.99 per month. Other bundles include Hulu + Live TV and the Disney Bundle.

After strategic moves and a double Guess Off, Claim to Fame has fans on the edge of their seats each week. By the end of episode 2, Miguel showed he had more strategy than initially expected. Collaborating with Dedrick, his plan succeeded, and Jill was eliminated, revealing her uncle was John Stamos. Gracie Lou incorrectly guessed Adam‘s claim to fame, leading to her elimination as her uncle, Jon Cryer, was revealed. This hinted that Naomi’s claim to fame might be more secure now that Gracie Lou is out of the picture.

The fan-favorite telephone challenge returned this season. Franklin and Kevin introduced the remaining players to one of the toughest team challenges ever on Claim to Fame. Contestants were split into two teams of four. Danny led his team of Hud, Mackenzie, and Adam, while Shane captained Naomi, Miguel, and Dedrick. To add a twist, players communicated using modulated voices and a megaphone while navigating an obstacle course. This time, they needed to remember and recite an entire limerick.

The challenge was no easy feat. The first limerick given was: “On the mountain, there once was a lion in a handmade rose dress. Her dancing was bad and made the town sad, so they shipped her off to the island.” Despite some physical setbacks, Danny’s team performed well. Conversely, Miguel struggled, failing to realize the limerick was supposed to rhyme, which significantly hindered his team’s performance.

For the second limerick, the challenge read: “His toga was in disarray on an oddly peculiar Friday. He wrote a honky-tonk song, but his hair was too long, and his pompadour needed a spray.” Mackenzie deciphered the key word, but Hud doubted its validity, creating issues for his team. Nonetheless, Danny led his team to victory with a remaining time of 7:50.

Shane, as the losing team captain, automatically found himself in the bottom two and eligible for the Guess Off. He chose Miguel to join him, seeing him as unpredictable. The strategy was to have Miguel knock himself out since the other players had no idea about his identity. Miguel was now on a mission to play even more strategically, given the perception that he was a threat.

Miguel attempted to barter with Naomi for more information, but Naomi declined, holding onto her clues tightly. An awkward moment occurred when Miguel disgustingly picked food from his mouth while trying to persuade Naomi. Unsurprisingly, Naomi decided she couldn’t trust Miguel.

Danny, the winning captain of the challenge, earned a trip to the wine cellar to pick another clue. He chose Dedrick’s clue, hoping to piece together his identity affirmatively. Inside, he found several symbols, leading him to speculate that Dedrick might be related to Michael Jackson, with moonwalking as a potential clue. This theory was further corroborated by Shane’s revelation that Michael Jackson was his sister’s godfather.

As suspected, Miguel was voted into the Guess Off. Mackenzie tried to deflect Miguel’s focus by suggesting that another contestant could be related to Friends star David Schwimmer. Despite knowing the truth, her aim was to mislead Miguel.

In the Guess Off, Miguel guessed Dedrick’s claim to fame as Little Richard, but he was wrong and eliminated. It was revealed that his famous relative was none other than his aunt, Jamie Lee Curtis, a revelation that surprised almost everyone.

With Dedrick’s connection to Little Richard ruled out, the focus shifted to him possibly being related to Michael Jackson. Contestants are strategizing similarly to Season 1, where contestants kept a player in the game without a clear guess about their celebrity connection. Will this tactic help Dedrick stay under the radar? As the contestant pool shrinks, maintaining safety becomes increasingly challenging.

Fans have mixed reactions to the season so far. While some enjoy the diabolical challenges, others criticize the contestants for their poor guessing skills, having yet to correctly identify any claims to fame four tries in. The general consensus is that Dedrick’s time might be running short, with viewers eagerly awaiting the next twists and turns.
