A$AP Rocky Travels to Ukraine for Bizarre ‘Tailor Swif’ Video: Watch

A$AP Rocky has unveiled the much-anticipated “Tailor Swif” video after initially expressing hesitations about officially releasing the track and its accompanying visual. Directed by Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia, the video arrived on August 30 as a special gift for his devoted fans. However, it won’t be featured on his upcoming album Don’t Be Dumb, expected later this year.

Rocky has delivered another distinctive addition to his acclaimed videography. Each scene in the eccentric clip, filmed in Kyiv, Ukraine, in December 2021, is as unusual as the next. From a bunny rabbit bathing with a glass of wine in a public bathroom sink to Rocky narrowly avoiding a car, a dog in a jacket and tie chatting on a cellphone in a diner, and a man’s hair serving as a bird’s nest with hatching eggs, the Harlem native’s commitment to his art is evident and impressive.

Many fans have been intrigued by the track’s title, which appears to be a playful nod to the pop superstar Taylor Swift. Rocky even references Taylor in the song’s chorus, rapping, “I’m too swift, don’t tell Taylor ’bout this s–t (Swift, yeah)/ I’m too swift, now don’t tell Taylor ’bout this s–t.”

However, not all Taylor Swift fans, known as Swifties, are pleased with Rocky’s mention of her name. One fan tweeted, “If I had a dollar for every man that used Taylor’s name for clout, I’d be as rich as her.”

Despite some backlash, Rocky’s supporters have defended him. “Love Taylor Swift, but A$AP Rocky does not need her to stay relevant,” one person commented on the platform X.

Initially, Rocky was reluctant to release the track, which he performed at Rolling Loud Portugal in 2022 before it leaked a few days later. Yet, he opted to release it officially earlier this week, tweeting, “SINCE U DUMMIES LEAKED IT ALREADY.”

Rocky’s album Don’t Be Dumb was scheduled to drop on August 30, but he revealed to Billboard that its release has been postponed to the fall.

“Tailor Swif” follows Rocky’s August single “Highjack,” which made its debut at No. 89 on the Billboard Hot 100. Watch the video for “Tailor Swif” below.
