Adam Huss Connects with His General Hospital Fans

It’s been a while since Nikolas has been on General Hospital, but his latest portrayer, Adam Huss, remains grateful for the continued support from fans eager to see him return as the Cassadine, preferably out of prison. While unable to confirm if he will reprise the role soon, Huss expressed his gratitude on social media.

“Don’t think I don’t see all your GH love for Nikolas,” Huss wrote on Twitter/X. “I see you and I appreciate you all! As you know, I love playing Nikolas Mikael Stavrosavich Cassadine so wherever the journey takes me, your love always resonates with me. Wanted to take a moment to express that! Thank you.”

Just days later, Huss returned online to acknowledge the overwhelming response to his post. “I am in awe of all the love this post got,” he said. “Wow. Thank you for the love and acceptance of me as Nikolas, GH fans. I know it’s not easy to accept a recast. I won’t ever take this embrace for granted! Not even for a second!” He signed off with a virtual kiss to his fans.

As of April, Nik was still serving his time. ABC

Nikolas Cassadine first appeared in 1996, portrayed by Tyler Christopher. The role was recast in 1999 with Colton Scott before Christopher returned in 2003. Chris Beetem briefly took over in 2005 when Christopher had surgery, and Nik Stabile stepped in temporarily in 2016. When Nikolas returned in 2019, Marcus Coloma took over the role, with Huss filling in occasionally and then taking over completely in 2023 when Nikolas was presumed dead.

It was later revealed that Nikolas was alive, but Huss’s appearances diminished significantly after Nik turned himself in for Esme’s kidnapping and ended up behind bars. Huss last appeared on General Hospital on April 29, 2024, when Ava visited her ex-husband in Pentonville.

Despite his reduced appearances on the show, Huss has kept busy. He has appeared in movies like Home, Not Alone (with fellow GH alum Andrea Bogart), Three Dates to Forever, and Couples Retreat Murder. Fans can also decide his character’s fate in the interactive movie Pregnant By My Ex’s Dad! And who knows, perhaps one day Nikolas will make a comeback, potentially as a free man!
