Adam Sandler, Wife, and Daughter Dine at Goldberg’s World Famous Deli

MILLBURN, NJ — It was a regular Sunday at Goldberg’s World Famous Deli when Adam Sandler, his wife Jackie, and their youngest daughter Sunny stopped by for lunch. Owner Chris Kurzyna shared, “They came in and walked up to Yvonne (my wife) and she gasped in surprise and let out a WOW! She thought she was keeping her surprise on the inside, but she was not.”

True to Sandler’s reputation as a nice guy in show business, Chris reported, “They were so nice to everyone. As soon as they walked in, the entire deli just lit up in joy. Everyone was smiling and just so happy to have such a fun family joining us for a meal.” Chris described Sandler’s personality as “endearing, welcoming and kind.” He was happy to take selfies with guests and staff.

According to Chris, he and his family have been fans of Sandler for years, so it was especially exciting for them and a pleasure to welcome him and his family to the restaurant. “It was an epic treat having the Sandman in the house.”

“To this day, I remember the date nights with Yvonne, and we would put on movies like ‘The Wedding Singer.’ Later, we enjoyed laughs with our kids on family movie nights with such great comedies like ‘Just Go With It,’” remarked Chris.

“Happy Gilmore 2,” the sequel to the 1996 Happy Gilmore film, has been filming in Morris, Bergen, Essex, Somerset, and Monmouth counties. It’s being produced at the new Netflix studio at the former Fort Monmouth. Travis Kelce is also in the movie. A security guard in Morristown estimated that 12,000 people attended a casting call there.

Yvonne said, “It was a dream come true. What a great guy! He lifted the spirits of all my staff and customers. It was contagious, and we are all still on cloud 9!”

Chris has a message for Sandler, “Adam, if you are reading this, all the best in making the world laugh and smile once again on your latest endeavor, Happy Gilmore 2!”
