Former model and reality TV star Adrianne Curry likely has mixed feelings about her time in the spotlight.

The first winner of “America’s Next Top Model” — who now leads a quieter life in Montana — shared in an interview with People that she decided to leave Hollywood after receiving an offer for a job that would have been financially rewarding but went against her values.

“I felt that I was on a cusp,” Curry told the magazine, reflecting on her mental state at the time. “I was 32 years old, and I got offered a job for face fillers, which included a huge payday with free face fillers and an extended contract. I remember thinking, ‘Am I really willing to mutilate myself for money?’”

She added, “I had to question, ‘Where is this path going if I’m even considering injecting something in my face for money?’ At 32 years old, you don’t need that.”

The choice to undergo cosmetic procedures is a personal one, and such procedures are far more common nowadays compared to the early 2010s.

However, when Curry was presented with the job offer, she realized she disliked the person she was becoming, fixated on her appearance.

Curry told People that frequently being in front of the camera had brought out “narcissistic traits” she wasn’t proud of, making her fearful of who she’d become if she continued in that direction.

“I saw a future on ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ with my face full of filler and me clinging to a youth that’s gone,” she said.

“So I left, and I make significantly less money, but I feel like I have my dignity, my soul. From the time I won ‘Top Model’ until that point, I felt pieces of me were chipping away each year. And it’s like every year you lose another piece just to keep the career going.”

Although Curry said she didn’t want to be absorbed by her appearance, she apparently felt free to criticize another woman’s body last year.

During Melanie Lynskey’s guest appearance on HBO’s hit “The Last of Us” as Kathleen, a vengeful character leading a revolutionary movement, Curry took to social media to comment on Lynskey’s physique and question her casting for the role.

Under a photo of Lynskey on X, formerly known as Twitter, Curry wrote: “her body says life of luxury…not post-apocalyptic warlord. where is linda hamilton when you need her?”

Lynskey quickly responded to Curry’s comment, pointing out that her character in “The Last of Us” wasn’t intended to be physically strong but rather a woman who had successfully orchestrated a plan to overthrow the government.

“I am supposed to be SMART, ma’m,” Lynskey tweeted with a screenshot of Curry’s remark. “I don’t need to be muscly. That’s what henchmen are for.”

Curry replied in a now-deleted tweet, claiming Lynskey “cropped out what I said about her perfect hourglass frame being the most desirable to men,” and described Lynskey’s shared screenshot as “manipulative.”

Curry also tweeted: “actors can’t allow people to not like their characters? I am DONE.”
