AFC Bournemouth Unveil Special Edition Michael B. Jordan Jerseys

AFC Bournemouth has launched its first product line in collaboration with club owner, actor, director, and producer Michael B. Jordan. This line will serve as the club’s pre-season kits for their USA tour in California.

The ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Creed’ star has been a minority stakeholder in the club since Bill Foley’s takeover in 2022. Umbro, the club’s kit maker since 2017, collaborated with Jordan to design these new kits.

The special edition kits, showcasing the club’s iconic red and black colors, feature an eye-catching interlocking cherry pattern. Each kit in the collection includes an exclusive MBJ x AFCB tag, indicating the collaboration with Michael B. Jordan and his Outlier Society Ventures.

The shirts also feature a modern reinterpretation of a vintage Cherries crest, which will be used in various club projects. This updated crest was reimagined by talented designer Daniel Norris, based on the original crest from the early 1980s.

Jordan expressed his excitement about the project, saying, “Having the opportunity to design a kit has been a project I have been excited to work on since joining the club, and I can’t wait to see them out on the pitch this week. These are exciting times for Cherries fans and I’m looking forward to see what this season brings.”

During the California tour, Bournemouth will play two friendly matches. The team wore the black edition kit against Wrexham on Saturday, July 20 at Harder Stadium in Santa Barbara, resulting in a 1-1 draw. They will sport the red edition jersey in their next game against Arsenal at Dignity Health Sports Park, home of the LA Galaxy, on Wednesday, July 24.

The limited-edition Umbro AFC Bournemouth 2024-2025 MBJ pre-season black and red football shirts are available from July 20, with the adult-sized kit retailing at £85 GBP ($110).
