All Movies, Shows, and Originals Coming to Netflix This Week (August 19)

Big things are coming to Netflix’s streaming library. As the platform continues to roll out its August 2024 content list, a total of 30 new TV series, movies, and Netflix originals are set to debut this week.

This week marks the initial wave of arrivals from the recent AMC and Netflix deal. On Monday, 13 AMC shows, including “Fear the Walking Dead,” “Interview with the Vampire” Season 1, “Kevin Can F**k Himself,” and more, became available for streaming. More AMC titles are expected to join the platform in early 2025.

Notable Netflix originals arriving this week include “Cocomelon Lane” Season 3 and “Bad Poetry,” a new comedy special from Langston Kerman. Other originals adding to the lineup include “Untold: The Murder of Air McNair,” “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos The Movie,” “Terror Tuesday: Extreme,” and “Baby Fever” Season 2.

“CoComelon Lane” Season 3 premiered on August 19. The new season promises a 30-minute special where Cece and her friends stage a musical with their favorite classic nursery rhymes to honor their teacher.

Langston Kerman’s “Bad Poetry” debuted on August 20. In this comedy special, Kerman shares witty anecdotes about parenting, teaching, and navigating his mother-in-law’s dating life.

“Untold: The Murder of Air McNair” also premiered on August 20. This documentary delves into the tragic deaths of former NFL MVP quarterback Steve “Air” McNair and Sahel “Jenny” Kazemi. It offers compelling insights through game day footage and emotional interviews.

Coming on August 21 is the documentary “Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE,” which charts the year-long journey of creating a unique girl group. With unprecedented access, the series provides a fascinating look into the training and development program by HYBE and Geffen Records.

“Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos The Movie” is set to premiere on August 22. In this anime, Sailor Moon faces a formidable new enemy threatening to destroy everything and dominate the cosmos.

Numerous other titles will be added to Netflix this week. As of August 19, viewers can enjoy “A Discovery of Witches” Seasons 1-3, “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches” Season 1, “Dark Winds” Seasons 1-2, “Fear the Walking Dead” Seasons 1-8, “Gangs of London” Seasons 1-2, “Interview with the Vampire” Season 1, “Into the Badlands” Seasons 1-3, “Kevin Can F**k Himself” Seasons 1-2, “Migration,” “Monsieur Spade” Season 1, “Preacher” Seasons 1-4, “That Dirty Black Bag” Season 1, “The Terror” Season 1, “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” Season 1, and “UnREAL” Seasons 1-4.

On August 20, “Terror Tuesday: Extreme” will be available. Following this, August 21 will see the release of the Netflix series “The Accident” and “Back to 15: Back to 18,” the Netflix film “Nice Girls,” and the documentary “Wyatt Earp and The Cowboy War.”

August 22 brings “Baby Fever” Season 2, the series “GG Precinct,” and the documentary “Secret Lives of Orangutans.”

Finally, on August 23, viewers can tune in to “Incoming” and “T?kunb??”.

As new content floods in, a few titles will leave the platform. “Everything Everywhere All at Once” is set to depart on August 24, followed by “Marcel the Shell with Shoes On” on August 25. Other exits include “Berlin Syndrome” on August 24, “The Accountant” on August 26, and a host of titles on August 31, such as “The Amazing Spider-Man,” “American Hustle,” “The Blind Side,” and “Spider-Man 2.”

With a robust lineup of new additions and some notable departures, Netflix continues to refresh its streaming library, ensuring there is always something new and exciting for subscribers to enjoy.
