All We Know About Taylor Sheridan’s ‘The Madison’ So Far

Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone universe has expanded with the development of a new offshoot, The Madison.

The new show diverges from the original Yellowstone narrative, moving away from the Dutton family’s story. The flagship series is set to bid farewell to John Dutton (Kevin Costner) and other characters in Season 5B, although Costner himself won’t be returning. While discussions are ongoing regarding a potential Season 6 of Yellowstone, The Madison marks an exciting new chapter in Sheridan’s storytelling repertoire.

The Madison will focus on the McIntosh family, a group of New York City natives who relocate to the Madison River valley in central Montana. TVLine reported that the storyline revolves around wealthy matriarch Stacy Clyburn and her family, who move to Montana following the tragic deaths of her husband and brother-in-law in a plane crash.

Michelle Pfeiffer has been confirmed as the lead for The Madison. She will portray the mother of two daughters, played by Beau Garrett and Elle Chapman. Chapman’s character, Paige McIntosh, enjoys the luxurious New York lifestyle provided by her family and husband. Patrick J. Adams has been cast as Russell McIntosh, Paige’s investment banker husband. Garett will play Abigail Reese, a newly divorced New York mother of two, with Amiah Miller taking on the role of her eldest daughter, Brigitte.

According to Deadline, Matthew Fox has joined the project to play Paul, a bachelor who has a passion for the outdoors. Although there were rumors about Kurt Russell potentially joining the cast, nothing has been confirmed yet by TVLine.

The production team behind The Madison includes MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions. Creator Taylor Sheridan will also serve as executive producer, joined by Michelle Pfeiffer, David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Christina Voros, Michael Friedman, and Keith Cox.

Production was scheduled to begin in late August, aiming for a premiere date in 2025.
