The Power Universe is taking a break this summer, with the current season of Power Book II: Ghost set to resume in September. Big changes are coming for the Power Universe. Power Book II: Ghost will conclude after this season, and it’s not the only show to end. Power Book IV: Force will also wrap up after its upcoming third season. Joseph Sikora and showrunner Gary Lennon shared this news with fans on Instagram and Deadline.

Power Book IV: Force season two ended on a dramatic cliffhanger, leaving fans eagerly waiting to see what happens next. Here’s what we know and can expect for the upcoming season.

At this moment, the premiere date for Power Book IV: Force season 3 hasn’t been announced. Fans should anticipate the new season to arrive either in late 2024 or spring 2025. Meanwhile, the second half of Power Book II: Ghost is set to resume on September 6, carrying through October 4. Either Power Book IV: Force season 3 or Power Book III: Raising Kanan season 4 might premiere following Power Book II: Ghost. More specific premiere details will be revealed later.

There will be several notable absences in the cast of Power Book IV: Force season 3, due to numerous characters being killed off in season two. Departures include Tommy Flanagan’s Walter Flynn, Cayen Martin’s Leon, Guy Van Swearingen’s Uncle Paulie, and Dominic DeVore’s Brendan Doyle. The fate of Lili Simmons’ character, Claudia “Claud” Flynn, remains uncertain following her stabbing incident in the season two finale.

Here’s who we can expect in the main cast for season three:

  • Joseph Sikora as Tommy Egan
  • Isaac Keys as David “Diamond” Sampson
  • Lili Simmons as Claudia “Claud” Flynn (TBD)
  • Shane Harper as Victor “Vic” Flynn
  • Kris D. Lofton as Jenard Sampson
  • Anthony Fleming as JP Gibbs
  • Lucien Cambric as Darnell “D-Mac” McDowell
  • Miriam A. Hyman as Stacy Marks
  • Adrienne Walker as Shanti ‘Showstopper’ Page
  • Carmela Zumbado as Mireya Garcia

Actors expected to return for supporting roles include:

  • Konstantin Lavysh as Rodovan Mirkovic
  • Ahmad Nicholas Ferguson as Marshall Cranon
  • Patricia Kalember as Kate Egan

An official synopsis for season three hasn’t been revealed yet. However, the cliffhanger from the season two finale indicates plenty of drama awaits. It remains to be seen whether Claudia survived her stabbing. Regardless, expect a dramatic storyline surrounding this event.

Next, there’s a curiosity about what happened to Mireya. Her brother Miguel discovered her relationship with Tommy and, in retaliation for Tommy gaining access to half of his Chicago territory, promised that Tommy would “never” see Mireya again. Given Tommy’s nature, we know he won’t easily back down.

In a video message to fans, Joseph Sikora, who plays Tommy Egan, teased upcoming surprises for season three. “When Gary Lennon and the other writers and I were drafting our third season, we saw that we were telling a complete story,” he said. “But don’t worry, Tommy’s journey is ongoing. We’re just getting started, and I can’t wait to reveal what’s next.” Showrunner Gary Lennon also shared his thoughts with Deadline, adding, “Season 3 will challenge everything we thought we knew about Tommy’s world, and I promise it won’t disappoint!”
