AMC Horror Shows, Including “Interview with the Vampire,” Coming to Netflix

We have exciting news for horror fans! Netflix has struck a surprise deal with AMC to bring 13 AMC shows to the streaming platform on August 19, 2024. Out of these 13 series, six belong to the horror genre. This licensing agreement will last for a year, allowing viewers to enjoy these shows on Netflix for an entire year before they leave the platform.

Interview with the Vampire season 1 is based on Anne Rice’s 1976 novel of the same name as well as her Vampire Chronicles book series. The story centers around the centuries-old vampire, Louis de Pointe du Lac, who recounts his life story to a renowned journalist named Daniel Molloy. The series stars Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Eric Bogosian, Bailey Bass, Assad Zaman, and many others.

Mayfair Witches season 1 is based on Anne Rice’s trilogy Lives of the Mayfair Witches. It revolves around a brilliant neurosurgeon who discovers she is an heiress to a powerful family of witches entangled with an ancient and malevolent entity. The cast includes Alexandra Daddario, Tongayi Chirisa, Jack Huston, Harry Hamlin, and others.

Fear the Walking Dead seasons 1-8 is a spin-off of The Walking Dead. This post-apocalyptic horror drama series focuses on the early days of the zombie apocalypse, following a group of characters trying their best to survive. The cast features Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Mercedes Mason, Lorenzo James Henrie, Rubén Blades, Colman Domingo, and many more.

Preacher seasons 1-4 follows a former criminal turned preacher who possesses an extraordinary power. He enlists the help of his ex-girlfriend and an Irish vampire to embark on a quest to find God. The show stars Dominic Cooper, Joseph Gilgun, Ruth Negga, Lucy Griffiths, W. Earl Brown, Derek Wilson, and others.

In addition to these horror shows, several other AMC series will also be available on Netflix starting August 19. These include A Discovery of Witches (seasons 1-3), Dark Winds (seasons 1-2), Gangs of London (seasons 1-2), Into the Badlands (seasons 1-3), Kevin can F*** Himself (seasons 1-2), Monsieur Spade (season 1), and That Dirty Black Bag (season 1).

Furthermore, two additional AMC shows are set to land on Netflix on January 13, 2025. These include The Walking Dead: Dead City (season 1) and The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live (season 1).
