‘American Pickers’ Star Jersey Jon Unveils Rare Discovery

Jon Szalay, known as Jersey Jon, thrilled fans with an extraordinary discovery. Many American Pickers viewers mentioned that the type of antiques he found are usually seen only in museums. So, what exactly did Jersey Jon unearth? And will this treasure be featured in the new season of American Pickers? Here’s what Jon disclosed.

Jersey Jon, who has quickly become a favorite on the History Channel show, recently shared his latest find on social media: a nearly 100-year-old Indian Motorcycle Company outboard motor in pristine condition.

On Thursday, the American Pickers star posted several photos of the motor, detailing its history. The motor dates back to between 1929 and 1930, and only 150 of these specific models were ever made. Unlike the motorcycle motors the Indian Motorcycle Company is best known for, this is an outboard motor designed for boats.

The snapshots included images of the instructions for lubricating and starting the motor, engraved on its sides. Remarkably, the company’s logo and all the text on the motor remain legible, showcasing the excellent condition of the artifact.

“Did you know that the Indian Motorcycle Company made outboard motors?” Jersey Jon wrote in the caption. “Yup they did! They made only 150 in 1929 and 1930, this survivor is the nicest original paint motor I’ve ever seen and it’s for sale, please serious inquiries only.”

Fans reacted with excitement upon seeing such a rare artifact. “First glance, thought it was something out of Star Wars,” one person commented. Another added, “Wow. Very cool. Always hoped I’d stumble on one.” Other fans called the find “incredible” and “very cool.”

American Pickers fans received some good news about the show’s future. Mike Wolfe announced that new episodes will premiere in October 2024. He quietly shared this exciting update in the comments section on Instagram.

A fan commented on one of his recent posts saying, “Man, I miss your shows.” Mike responded, “New ones starting in October.”

This quiet announcement followed a long hiatus for the History Channel show, leaving many fans worried about its future. Now, viewers can rest assured that American Pickers will return to television this fall.

The upcoming season will feature Mike Wolfe, who started the show back in 2010. Danielle Colby and Jersey Jon will also star in the new episodes of American Pickers. However, there is still no indication that beloved Frank Fritz will return to the show.

Fans will remember that Frank left the show in 2020 due to health complications. He suffered from severe back problems, was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, and had a stroke, which left him in a wheelchair for some time.
