Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt May Reunite at Star-Studded Event — Details

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may be gearing up for a potential public reunion next month.

Once Hollywood’s golden couple, the former pair have been entangled in a bitter legal dispute over their divorce for the past eight years, since their split in 2016.

Although they have managed to avoid crossing paths at major Hollywood events and award shows over the years, the upcoming Venice International Film Festival could change that.

As their legal battle, mainly concerning a dispute over their French vineyard and estate, continues, both Angelina and Brad will have new films premiering at the star-studded event that begins on August 28.

Angelina, whose last movie premiere was Marvel’s Eternals in 2021, will present Maria, a biopic about the life of the famous opera singer Maria Callas. The film is directed by Pablo Larraín, who also helmed the biopics Jackie and Spencer, featuring Natalie Portman and Kristen Stewart, respectively.

The film’s cast includes The Power of the Dog breakout star Kodi Smit-McPhee, Haluk Bilginer as Jackie Kennedy’s former husband Aristotle Onassis, Valeria Golino, and Pierfrancesco Favino.

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt will reunite with frequent co-star George Clooney to premiere their film Wolfs, a comedy thriller. Directed by Jon Watts, the action movie also stars Austin Abrams, Amy Ryan, and Poorna Jagannathan. The plot follows two lone wolf fixers who are forced to work together to cover up the same high-profile crime.

Maria is part of the in-competition lineup, while Wolfs will premiere out of competition. Angelina last attended the Venice Film Festival in 2007 to support Brad for the premiere of The Assassination of Jesse James. Brad’s most recent appearance was in 2022 for the premiere of the Marilyn Monroe movie Blonde, which he produced.

Brad and Angelina were legally declared single in 2019 but are still in the midst of a bifurcated divorce. This means their marriage has been dissolved, and they are legally single, but other aspects of their divorce are still disputed.

The two tied the knot in 2014 after starting their relationship in 2005. They share six children: Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Vivienne and Knox, who just turned 16.

There have been long-standing rumors that many of the kids are estranged from their father. Several of them have moved to drop his last name, including eldest sons Maddox and Pax, daughter Zahara, and most recently Shiloh, who filed a motion to change her last name to just Jolie upon turning 18.
