Angelina Jolie Shares Plans for Future Home After Twins Turn 18

Angelina Jolie reveals where she plans on moving after her twins turn 18 AP

Angelina Jolie has shared her plans for relocating once her twins, Vivienne and Knox, turn 18. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 49-year-old actress discussed her family dynamics amid her ongoing divorce from Brad Pitt.

Jolie, who grew up in Los Angeles and is the daughter of actors Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand, confessed that she has only remained in the city because of the divorce proceedings. “I have to be here from a divorce,” she revealed, referencing her 16-year-old twins. “But as soon as they’re 18, I’ll be able to leave.”

Following the twins’ milestone, Jolie intends to travel extensively, starting with Cambodia, where she adopted her son Maddox in 2002. “I’ll spend a lot of time in Cambodia,” she continued. “I’ll spend time visiting my family members wherever they may be in the world.”

Jolie emphasized her desire for privacy, peace, and safety for her family. She reflected on the profound connections and experiences she gained during her previous travels. “I have a house now to raise my children, but sometimes this place can be… that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here.”

Her “big family” includes her older children: Maddox, 23, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, and Shiloh, 18. Many of them have distanced themselves from Pitt following the divorce, with some publicly adopting Jolie’s surname exclusively. This includes Shiloh, who legally dropped Pitt’s name upon turning 18 in May and now goes by Shiloh Jolie.

Additionally, in a video shared by Essence last November, Zahara introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” during a sorority event at Spelman College. Meanwhile, in the Playbill for the new musical The Outsiders, produced with the help of Vivienne, the youngest daughter was listed as “Vivienne Jolie,” omitting her father’s last name.

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in 2016 after a decade-long relationship and two years of marriage. She hinted at the reason for their separation in a Vogue India interview, mentioning that she separated “for the well-being of my family” and continues to focus on their healing.

The possibility exists that she referred to a 2016 airplane incident during which she and Pitt had a heated argument. The FBI investigated the incident, and the heavily redacted report became public during their divorce proceedings.
