Anime Hypes Up Premiere with New Promo

Rick and Morty will soon debut its anime series, and Adult Swim is ramping up excitement with a new promo for Rick and Morty: The Anime! While the main series won’t return with Season 8 until next year, fans can look forward to plenty of adventures with this new spinoff hitting screens this Summer. Rick and Morty: The Anime promises a fresh take and a brand new storyline, unaffected by the events of the primary series.

The new anime series will premiere on both Adult Swim and Max later this week, meaning fans won’t have to wait much longer to dive into the new content. Adult Swim has released a promo that teases some of the scenes and characters that will feature in this anime adaptation of the popular series.

The English dub episodes of Rick and Morty: The Anime will air on Thursdays at midnight starting on August 15th. The cast includes Joe Daniels as Rick and Jerry, Gabriel Regojo as Morty, Donna Bella Litton as Summer, and Patricia Duran as Beth. Fans of the Japanese version will get to watch it on Saturdays, with a voice cast consisting of Youhei Tadano as Rick, Keisuke Chiba as Morty, Akiha Matsui as Summer, Manabu Muraji as Jerry, and Takako Fuji as Beth.

Directed and written by Takashi Sano, known for his work on “Rick and Morty vs. Genocider” and “Summer Meets God (Rick Meets Evil)” shorts, the series will be produced by Telecom Animation Film. The anime will run for ten episodes, produced by Sola Entertainment. The production team includes Maki Nagano, Max Nishi, and Takenari Maeda as producers, Yu Kiyozono as the animation producer, Yuuki Kakizoe as the assistant producer, and Jason DeMarco and Joseph Chou as executive producers. Art direction will be handled by Arisa Matsuzawa with Makiko Kojima as the color designer.

The plot of Rick and Morty: The Anime offers a unique spin. It features Rick relaxing in a pseudo-world between multiverses, Summer assisting Space Beth in battling the evil Galactic Federation, and Morty falling in love with a mysterious girl who turns out to be an atemporal being. This intriguing storyline promises to offer fans new adventures and dimensions, quite literally, to enjoy.
