Ayesha Curry Speaks Out After Police Encounter at Paris Olympics

What should have been an overwhelmingly joyous night for the Curry family turned sour due to an unfortunate encounter with Paris police following USA Basketball’s gold medal victory.

Video footage of the incident showed Steph Curry’s wife, Ayesha, in a contentious situation with law enforcement as she attempted to get to their car. Ayesha appeared visibly upset and in tears, while holding her newborn child in the streets of Paris.

Ayesha’s mother-in-law, Sonya Curry, and Steph’s Golden State Warriors teammate Draymond Green were also present during the incident.

Ayesha broke her silence about the incident on Wednesday, sharing her first public comments through an Instagram post.

Despite the unfortunate run-in with the police, Ayesha mentioned that her family still had an “incredible” time cheering on Team USA in Paris. She expressed her gratitude in her post, saying, “A huge thank you to @airbnb for making our Paris stay so incredible. We had the best time celebrating and cheering on @stephencurry30 at the @olympics. Thank you!!!”

Steph Curry played a crucial role in the United States’ journey to another gold medal. The legendary NBA point guard showcased his skills by delivering a series of three-point baskets in both the semifinals against Serbia and the championship game against host-country France.

Steph and Ayesha have been married since 2011 and share four children. The couple recently celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary earlier this month.
