Barry Keoghan Reacts to Sabrina Carpenter Bratz Doll Amid Breakup Rumors

Barry Keoghan has humorously reacted to a recent Bratz doll themed around Sabrina Carpenter, amidst swirling rumors that the pair have called it quits.

The official Bratz doll Instagram account posted an image on August 26 featuring dolls of Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega, inspired by Carpenter’s latest music video for “Taste.” The dolls mimicked the stars’ looks from the video, with Carpenter’s doll sporting her signature blonde locks, curtain bangs, a black off-the-shoulder dress, and a diamond necklace. Ortega’s doll wore a black long-sleeve dress with a slit, black heels, and a matching fascinator, mirroring her outfit from the video.

In the comments section of the post, Keoghan expressed his enthusiasm, asking, “Can I have one?”

It’s still unclear if Bratz plans to make these dolls available for purchase. However, Carpenter was evidently impressed. She reshared Bratz’s post on her Instagram Story and tagged both Ortega and Bratz, urging, “Can you send these to us fr?”

Ortega also got in on the fun, resharing Carpenter’s post and writing on her Instagram Story: “What is happening…And yes let us know @bratz.”

Keoghan’s playful comment arrives just as rumors circulate about his relationship status with Carpenter. On August 16, DeuxMoi shared an anonymous tip on X (formerly known as Twitter), suggesting the duo had broken up.

However, fans later speculated that Keoghan might be indirectly denying the rumors when he liked a photo on Carpenter’s Instagram about her new album, “Short N’ Sweet.”

In an interview with The Guardian published on August 23, Carpenter spoke highly of working with Keoghan, who appeared in her music video for “Please, Please, Please.”

“[Working with him] was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I’m very honored and I got to work with such a great actor!” she said.

She did not comment directly on their relationship but acknowledged that speculation about her private life is inevitable.

“It’s not what I signed up for, but I can’t really help when I was born,” Carpenter said. “I want to be honest – I want to just write about what’s happening in my life as a 25-year-old girl. But it comes with the territory and I just have to be like… OK!”

Romantic rumors about Carpenter and the “Saltburn” star have been swirling since December 2023. In a June interview with Rolling Stone, she was asked if Keoghan was her boyfriend and responded diplomatically: “How do I skirt around this question?”

While keeping the specifics of her love life private, Carpenter has spoken about the joys and challenges of dating, which often inspire her songs.

“The [dating] pool is the pool, and when you meet people that feel authentic and are so brilliant and amazing in every way, that’s what you do,” she shared. “Obviously, I write songs about exactly how I feel, so I guess I can’t be so surprised that people are interested in who and what those songs are about. That’s something that comes with the territory.”

In a March interview with Cosmopolitan, Carpenter echoed similar thoughts, stating that she doesn’t pay much attention to dating rumors.

“I’m not really aware of that until I have someone random that I didn’t tell, ‘Oh, I’m dating this person,’ tell me: ‘Oh, you’re dating this person,’” the former Disney Channel star explained. “It’s a weird thing, and it’s so funny because it might be someone that I talked to three times, and I haven’t even decided if I like them. But it’s like, if you’re two feet away from them, then you are together.”
