BeatKing’s Cause of Death Revealed: Pulmonary Embolism

Justin Riley, widely known as BeatKing, has passed away at 39. The Houston rapper succumbed to a pulmonary embolism.

The tragic incident occurred while the rapper was at a local radio station in Houston when he suddenly passed out. He was pronounced dead on Thursday upon arrival at the hospital.

BeatKing’s representative, Tasha Felder, confirmed the heart-wrenching news of his passing via social media.

“Today, August 15, 2024, we have lost @Clubgodzilla,” she wrote on Instagram Thursday. “BeatKing has been the best part of the club for over a decade. He has produced and worked with so many artists, that his sound will forever live. He loved his daughters @clubgodparenting, his music, and his fans. We will love him forever.”

Felder also mentioned that his daughters were by his side in the hospital at the time of his passing.

Pulmonary embolism is a potentially life-threatening condition where a blood clot gets lodged in an artery in the lungs, obstructing blood flow.

According to ABC, “PE often originates from deep vein thrombosis (DVT), where blood clots form in the deep veins of the legs or other parts of the body. When these clots break free, they can travel through the bloodstream to the lungs, causing a blockage.”

Other notable tracks include “SDAB” featuring 2 Chainz and Juicy J, “Outside,” and “Keep It Poppin” featuring Ludacris and Queendom Come.

Houston hip-hop legend Bun B paid tribute to BeatKing on Instagram, stating, “It’s always the good ones. … Just a great spirited person.”
