‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ Gets a New Popcorn Bucket Release

People often say the movie industry is struggling. Theaters are supposedly in trouble. But have they taken a look at these new popcorn buckets?

Building on the quirky tradition started by the Dune: Part Two popcorn bucket, which resembled some sort of alien pleasure device, and a Deadpool & Wolverine bucket that made you imagine reaching into Hugh Jackman’s gaping maw, there’s now a Beetlejuice Beetlejuice popcorn bucket designed to look like a coiled sandworm from the supernatural film series.

This unique Beetlejuice Beetlejuice popcorn bucket will be available exclusively at Regal Cinemas.

I can only hope they don’t actually dip the buckets in sand before filling them with popcorn. As amusing as the sandworm bucket is, it’s just one of many fun items Regal Cinemas offers. If the sandworm isn’t your style, you can opt for a black-and-white striped popcorn bucket and beverage cup. And for those who really want to splurge, there’s a blue zombie head that doubles as a drink container.

All of this merchandise would go perfectly with an icy cold Beetlejuice Beetlejuice soda. Yes, that’s a real thing.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice premieres in theaters, including those without sandworm popcorn buckets, on September 6. Regal’s exclusive Beetlejuice Beetlejuice merchandise will be available starting September 5.

The merchandising effort for this film has been intense. I’ve also come across a lot of Beetlejuice toys available for purchase. However, I draw the line at wearing black-and-white striped suits non-ironically, especially after Labor Day. That’s a definite no.
