Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez Reportedly Divorcing Over Relapse Concerns

Jennifer Lopez’s launch of her own alcohol brand allegedly became a significant factor contributing to her rumored split with former Batman star Ben Affleck. According to The Daily Mail, Affleck was “devastated” by Lopez’s decision to introduce the Delola cocktail line, despite initial reports suggesting he supported the idea.

This disappointment for Affleck, a recovering alcoholic, stemmed from the perceived insensitivity of Lopez’s decision, especially considering his own struggles with addiction. “Ben had to fight to get his life back after overcoming alcohol. Knowing how he lost everything, including the love of his family, and the risk of a possible relapse, Jen decided to start her own spritzer line for more money, as if she did not have enough,” said a friend of Affleck to The Daily Mail. “This was one of the things that broke the camel’s back. But Ben saved his sobriety.”

Affleck’s battle with alcoholism has seen him in and out of rehab over the years, a struggle that significantly impacted his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner. The public promotion of Lopez’s alcohol brand only added to the existing tension.

Sources indicate that Lopez and Affleck are waiting until the end of summer to finalize their divorce. Despite the absence of official documents, Affleck has reportedly moved out, leading to an essentially dissolved marriage.

“They are waiting for the right time to drop them. At that time, they will release a joint statement that will say how they have much love for each other and how they fought to make it work, but couldn’t,” claimed a source. “In the end, they couldn’t come to a compromise. What they had before is gone and they have both accepted it.”

“Ben was the one to pull the plug on their marriage here. Jennifer had him believe she was the same person she was when they fell in love the first time, so he saw this as picking right back up. He doesn’t like the celebrity red carpet thing, but he did it because she loved it,” said another friend. “Her obsession with fame became too much for him.”
