Ben Affleck Reportedly Buys New $20M L.A. Home
Ben Affleck has bought a new $20 million house in Los Angeles, according to a report.
The 5-bedroom home closed escrow earlier this week, TMZ reported, citing real estate sources, on Saturday, July 26.
Earlier in July, Affleck, 51, and wife Jennifer Lopez put their Beverly Hills home up for sale for $68 million amid ongoing strain in their marriage. The pair bought the property for $60,850,000 in May 2023 after tying the knot in July 2022.
Affleck’s rep has not commented on the report.
Celebrity realtor Josh Flagg, who is not associated with either home, told PEOPLE earlier this month that Affleck and Lopez, 54, publicly listing their Beverly Hills home for “relatively close to what they paid for it” was a sign that “they really want to move the property.”
The Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles star added, “With that said, I’m also going to take [a guess] that they’re not going to walk out of this making money. They’re going to either break even or take a small loss.”

While neither Affleck nor Lopez has spoken publicly about the status of their marriage, a source told PEOPLE in June that they “don’t have any summer plans together” and are “focused on their separate lives.”
In May, multiple sources told PEOPLE that Affleck and Lopez had begun living separately in Los Angeles amid tension in their relationship.
On June 12, Affleck hosted a graduation party for Samuel at a rental home in Brentwood. Both Garner and Lopez joined to celebrate the milestone.
Earlier the same day, Affleck and Lopez each wore their wedding rings as they attended Samuel’s graduation ceremony.
In late June, Affleck moved his belongings out of the Beverly Hills home he shared with Lopez before she returned from a recent trip to Europe, a source told PEOPLE.
“Ben continues to live at the Brentwood rental. He’s been there for about two months now,” another source said. “He seems okay. He’s been at his office every day and seems focused on work. He’s also spending time with his kids.”
