Shannen Doherty has been remarkably candid about her health journey over the years. In 2015, she publicly disclosed her breast cancer diagnosis after TMZ reported on documents indicating her condition. In a 2021 interview with ABC News, Doherty reflected on her career in the 1990s, noting the challenges she faced as an actress in a male-dominated industry. “It was a very different time to be an actress because a lot of the men in the business were maybe not as collaborative with women as perhaps they are now,” she remarked. “It was definitely more of a, ‘Just get on your mark and say your line and do your job.’ And I think because of that, I was extremely rebellious.”
