Beyoncé Launches Whisky Brand Now Available for Pre-Order

The brand’s name is a nod to Beyonce’s great-grandfather SirDavis/The Independent

Celebrities announcing their own alcohol brands is nothing new, but when a chart-topping cult icon like Beyoncé Knowles-Carter launches a liquor brand, people take notice.

Following the recent release of her first-ever hairline, Cécred, the “Cowboy Carter” singer has now ventured into whisky with her new brand, SirDavis.

Whisky has long been Beyoncé’s favorite drink, and on the SirDavis site, she shares: “I’ve always been drawn to the power and confidence I feel when drinking quality whisky and wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling.”

This new venture pays tribute to her paternal great-grandfather, Davis Hogue. The liquor has been crafted in partnership with Moët Hennessy, known for premium drinks like Moët & Chandon champagne and Hennessy cognac, and award-winning master distiller Dr. Bill Lumsden.

Naturally, SirDavis whisky has already been making waves. Her latest post about the launch has garnered over 1.7 million likes and counting.

Beyoncé’s rendition of her favorite spirit, SirDavis whisky, features a deep copper color. Its aroma boasts tangy Seville oranges, raisins, sizzling spices like clove, cinnamon, ginger, and notes of Demerara sugar and toffee.

The tasting experience includes rich and buttery toffee, followed by spices such as cinnamon and clove. You’ll also notice soft malty and biscuity notes combined with citrus, finishing with honey, sultanas, and ripe cherries.

SirDavis whisky can be pre-ordered now from Amazon, Selfridges, and other retailers, with deliveries expected on September 4.
