Beyoncé Strongly Endorses Kamala Harris

Since announcing her presidential campaign for the upcoming election, Vice President Kamala Harris has garnered immense support from millions of people nationwide. Among these supporters, an extraordinary figure has shown her support for Harris in a unique way. CNN reports that the international superstar Beyoncé granted permission for Harris and her team to use her song “Freedom” throughout the presidential campaign.

During Harris’ first official visit to her campaign headquarters on Monday, she made her entrance to the empowering anthem. Although Beyoncé has not officially endorsed Harris, sources close to the Vice President reveal that Beyoncé approved the use of the song just a few hours before Harris walked out to it.

Beyoncé is renowned for her stringent clearance guidelines concerning her music. Given the swift approval, it hints at the possibility of a future endorsement. Meanwhile, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, has officially endorsed Harris. She expressed her support in an Instagram post.

“New, Youthful, Sharp, energy !!!!” Knowles posted on Instagram, accompanied by a photo of herself alongside Harris. “Putting personal Ego, power and fame aside. That is the definition of a great leader. Thank you, President Biden for your service and your leadership. Go Vice President Kamala Harris for President. Let’s Go.”

On Sunday, President Joe Biden announced via social media that he was withdrawing from the 2024 presidential race. Following this announcement, he threw his full support behind Harris as the Democratic nominee. Harris responded with a statement, expressing her intention to “earn and win” the Democratic nomination. The Democratic National Convention is scheduled to take place August 19–22 in Chicago.

Biden emphasized his support for Harris via a post on X, stating, “My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.”

Harris made history by gathering enough delegates to secure the Democratic nomination in just two days. She plans to formally accept the nomination during the Democratic National Convention. Additionally, Harris set another record by raising $82 million for her campaign within just 24 hours.

A graduate of Howard University, Harris initially entered the presidential race in 2019 but withdrew in December of that same year, citing a lack of funding. However, in August 2020, Biden selected her as his vice-presidential running mate.
