Beyoncé Tops Nominations for 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is the leading nominee at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards. The superstar has received 12 nominations at this year’s show, thanks to her latest album “Cowboy Carter.”

Hosted by Shania Twain, the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards will air live from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. The second annual show will celebrate the biggest and best in country music with all 18 awards chosen by fans.

Beyoncé and Zach Bryan are leading this year’s nominations, with Beyoncé pulling in 12 and Bryan receiving 11. Her nominations include categories like female artist, social country star, album, song, female song, collaboration song, cover song, crossover song, and storyteller song.

She has received two nominations for female song with her singles “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ’Em.” Additionally, she has two nominations in the cover song category for her Beatles cover “Blackbird” and her rendition of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.” Beyoncé is also up for the top award of the evening, The People’s Artist of 2024.

As fans know, Beyoncé released her eighth studio album on March 29, making history and breaking multiple records in the process. She first shocked the world when she debuted her hit singles “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” during a surprise Super Bowl commercial. This album has played a significant role in increasing the visibility of Black country artists and emphasizing the genre’s deep roots.

Fans can now cast their votes at votepcca.com through Aug. 23. The People’s Choice Country Awards will air live on Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. ET across NBC and Peacock.
